It (2017) is another movie adaptation of the Stephen King book It. It is the story the loser squad: Bill (played by Jaeden Lieberher) the leader who lost his brother, Richard (played by Finn Wolfhard) the jokester, Eddie (played by Jack Dylan Grazer), a germaphobe, Stanley (played by Wyatt Oleff), a jewish boy, Ben (played by Jeremy Ray Taylor) the new kid, and Beverly (played by Sophia Lillis), a girl that is rumored to be promiscuous. During the summer, the squad is haunted by Pennywise (played by Bill Skarsgard), a killer clown. Pennywise spends one year killing kids around them and then hides away for 27 years. The squad joins with Mike (played by Chosen Jacobs), who lost his parents in a fire, to face their fears and take down Pennywise before he takes them down.

It (2017) is an interesting horror film that deals with facing fears and losing a family member. The acting and the characters are terrific, especially Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise. Some of the scary scenes work, but some don’t. The weaknesses of film are that some of the characters have little personality like Stanley and Mike, most of the CGI effects look terrible, and the story is very similar to Stranger Things. It (2017) gets 8/10 stars.
