We're now more than a month into 2017, and it's time to take a look at what new tech is going to be coming out this year.

Smartphones seem to be taking the center stage, with many companies planning to come up with some inventive new models and designs. This year is the tenth anniversary of the release of the iPhone, so it's likely that Apple will come up with something interesting for the iPhone 8. Rumors indicate that the phone might have a display that curves around all edges, similar to Samsung's S7 Edge. Samsung is also looking to update their line with the Galaxy S8, which may feature a 4K screen and camera improvements (again, this is based on rumor, as is usual for pre-release information on smartphones). Google is also likely to release an updated version of their Pixel smartphone after a fairly good reception.

Other possible new products include a second version of the HTC Vive - the VR headset that along with the Oculus Rift, started the VR trend - as well as new smartwatches featuring Google's Android Wear 2.0 OS.
