The haunted series is back and better than ever! My friends are just as into haunted, scary stuff as I am, and they brought to my attention a new figure to the horror scene: the Goatman.

The Goatman is exactly what he sounds like: his top half is that of a goat and his bottom half is the build of a man. He carries an axe that he uses to chop up teenagers. The legend goes that the Goatman is jealous of teenagers because of how attractive they are, whereas he’s just- well, he is half goat. The goatman was created because a scientist was doing experiments on animals and an experiment with a goat went terribly wrong.

The Goatman is said to live near Holy Hill in Hubertus. He’s claimed to be seen on Hogsback Road. Due to this information and our piercing curiosity, my friends and I decided to investigate. Around 8 o'clock on a Friday night we all hopped into my friend’s car and she drove us there. We drove down that cursed, icy road, and turned down several dangerous curves without guard rails.

I will admit, my friends were more into searching for Goatman than I was. Although I love haunted things, that road was just plain scary. There are deep drops on either side, and it keeps winding back and forth.

Obviously we didn’t see Goatman. I don’t think we expected to, but we expected something. Instead, all we saw was deer and a tunnel filled with graffiti.
