The Slinger boys varsity soccer team is now underway, with two of the five home games already complete. Headed by the second year head coach Daniel Carpenter and assistant coach Chico Parisotto, the first game played during the season was against North Fond du Lac. Slinger wiped out the competition with a score of Slinger: 7, North Fond du Lac: 0.

Scoring for Slinger:

Goals

Nathan Kemp: 3

Sam Strachan: 1

Alex Klumb: 1

Owen Martin: 1

Brady Jackson: 1

Assists

Owen Martin: 2

Mauricio Gundrum: 2

Kyle Perry: 2

Goalie

Connor Day

Tuesday night, September 10th, was the match against the Port Washington Pirates in which the Owls came away with a 2-0 victory during a special Parent's Night. The goals were made by Owen Martin and Nathan Kemp (with an assist from Owen). Connor Day was the goalie for the shut out. It was a very satisfying win as Slinger has lost to Port Washington the last 2 years. Tuesday the team plays West Bend East in West Bend. (They're having an event that anyone who brings in 2 food items for the WB food pantry gets into the game free!)

The Slinger soccer team is killing it in the ratings this year, and is ranked 5th overall in the state. Team players Noah Mueller and Patrick Melius attribute their team’s success to their hard work and love of practicing. They are both excited to see where the future of the season for boys soccer takes the team.

If you would like to attend any of the remaining home games here is the upcoming schedule:

Tuesday, Sept 24, 7 pm against West Bend West

Thursday, Oct 3, 7 pm against Grafton

Tuesday, Oct 15, 7 pm against Whitefish Bay
