If you’re like me, you struggle coming up with gift ideas for your friends and family. Once in awhile, a good idea comes to me and I scramble to grab my phone and write it down in my notes. Then after, I stare at my notes, noticing how blank my ideas for other people are. So today, I took to Pinterest to find some cool Christmas ideas that aren’t too overused.
For my lunch table I wanted to get them cute little bags with a few Christmas themed candies (the Snickers wrapper is adorable!) and an ornament. Nothing too expensive and extraordinary, but something to show them that I care.
For my siblings I got them something based off of their interests. My brother is into sports so I got him a Milwaukee Bucks pennant, and I mixed two of my sister’s interests for her present, which was socks and anything Spanish themed (I went with sugar skulls).
For one group of my friends, I wanted to get them goofy gifts based off of the inside jokes we have, so that’s what I did. But for my other best friend, I got her a more sentimental gift and ordered pictures of us and glued them to a scrapbook. I also got them smaller gifts, like their favorite candy.
My parents were incredibly difficult to buy for. They’re the type of parents where, if you ask them what they want, they’ll answer with “nothing.” I asked a bunch of my friends what they got their parents but none of their interests matched with my parents, so I still didn’t know what to get.
I decided on getting my dad something sports-related since that’s what he likes, and for my mom I decided on something homemade, since that’s what she likes best.
I worship Amazon for delivering the presents I ordered in early December (and my brain for giving me those early ideas). And I’m also thankful for Walmart for having a bunch of random stuff in stock a week before Christmas.
