On the Saturday during spring break, Science Olympiad had their state competition at UW Stout. 50 regular teams and 10 exhibition teams (which receive no formal scores) competed, and Slinger placed 14th overall. This was a solid performance; Slinger medaled in seven events, and placed ahead of the state champion, Menomonee, in It’s about time.

Slinger’s medals included:

2nd in Game On: Bryce Huffner and Nick “Programmer Guy” Stoffel.

4th in Geocaching: Alex Muhl and Austen Becker

5th in Forensics: Megan Horinek and Erin Prusha

5th in It’s About Time: Madeline Horinek

6th in Air Trajectory: Jacob Storrs, Mitchell Kitzinger

6th in Wind Power: Alex Muhl and Mitchell Kitzinger

Great job this year, and good luck next year Science Olympiad!
