The 2017 Nite Crier Turkey Drop to benefit the Slinger Food Pantry

Thanksgiving is a time of giving thanks, being with family, eating food, watching football, and launching turkeys. The Nite Crier will be holding a Turkey Drop fundraiser for the Slinger Food Pantry on November 20th after school. To be a part of this glorious event, you can buy a paper plate raffle tickets for two dollars. One part of the proceeds will go towards our Slinger Food Pantry to acquire the much needed food all year long. The second half of the proceeds from your plate raffle will go towards a cash and gift card raffle. On Monday, November 20th we will announce the winner of smaller raffle prizes from area businesses such as The Rookery, Hartford Movie Theater, Sweet Creations, Subway of Slinger and Skinny Vic's. Then at 3:15pm on November 20th we will have our Turkey Drop ceremony where we will launch the Nite Crier stuffed turkey at the paper plates to determine the winner of the cash prizes. Next week, the Nite Crier online newspaper will have exclusive articles about the Turkey Drop, and Thanksgiving in general, so please keep an eye on the Nite Crier website for those news stories.
