Last Friday, September 16th 2016, Slinger High School hosted Band Night during the Boys’ Varsity Football game. The Slinger Owls won 24-21 against the West Bend East Suns. Marching Band (grades 10-12) was joined by 7th, 8th, and 9th grade band. During the Fish Fry, 7th-12th grade band went outside and played the “Slinger Fight Song” and “25 or 6 to 4”. Marching Band played the National Anthem before the game. At half-time, Marching Band played “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”, “American Woman”, and “Dance Again”. Afterwards, 7th through 9th grade went out and joined Marching Band on the field to play “Slinger Fight Song” and “25 or 6 to 4” again.

The Fish Fry featured desserts provided by the the High School band students and was run by volunteers (band student’s parents). During the Fish Fry, the volunteers sold around 470 dinners in two and a half hours. The Band made a profit of $3,200. This money will go towards cleaning and maintaining band uniforms.
