Prometheus is the prequel to famous Sci-Fi Horror film Alien (1979). Prometheus is about a scientific expedition team: Elizabeth Shaw played by Noomi Rapace and Charlie Holloway played by Logan Marshall-Green are the head doctors on the Expedition, Janek played by Idris Elba is the pilot, Millburn played by Rafe Spall is the Biology Officer, Ford played by Kate Dickie is the medical doctor, Meredith Vickers played by Charlize Theron is the boss of the Operation, David played by Michael Fassbender is a robot assistant, and Fifield played by Sean Harris is the geologist. The team’s mission is to travel to an unknown moon, in hopes they’ll discover the origins of humanity. Once they reach the planet, the team goes exploring and come across an alien creature and technology. A sudden wind storm forces the team back to the ship and Fifield and Millburn are left behind. From that point onward, an unknown something or someone starts to pick off the members of the crew.
Prometheus is an interesting film that explores wondrous ideas of humanity and life beyond our own world. The sets are very detailed and are breathtaking to look at. The music enhances the film and the mood of it. The visuals are amazing and are shot beautifully in the film. Some of the performances and characters are excellent like David played by Michael Fassbender, who’s creepy yet charming at the same time. The weakness of the film is that some of the characters are one dimensional and make stupid decisions. Prometheus gets a 8/10 stars.
