Before he returns, let's take a look at John Wick (DVD review)

John Wick is the story of ex-assassin John Wick (played by Keanu Reeves) who had since gotten married. Unfortunately, Wick lost his wife to a deadly disease and on her deathbed, she gives Wick a dog named Daisy. One day while getting gas for his car, Iosef Tarasov (played by Alfie Allen), son of russian mob leader Viggo Tarasov (played by Michael Nyqvist), rolls up and asks John for his car. John refuses, resulting in Iosef trashing John’s place, stealing his car, and killing Daisy. Enraged, John suits up and begins his hunt for Iosef, putting a targeting on the heads of those who gets in his way. But John is not alone, for his friend Marcus (played by Willem Dafoe) is along for the ride.

John Wick is an amazing and gritty action film. Keanu Reeves gives the film an edge that makes it stand out from other action films. The action is intense and exciting, which hasn’t been seen in the action genre for a long time. The only flaw in John Wick is that the end fight between John and Viggo is not that satisfying, and is short compared to the other action scenes. John Wick gets 9/10 stars.
