Die Hard 2: Die Harder is the continuing story of Officer John McClane (played by Bruce Willis) who is at the airport to pick up his wife Holly (played by Bonnie Bedelia) when terrorists lead by Col. Stuart (played by William Sadler) holds the airport hostage in exchange for drug lord Esperanza (played by Franco Nero). The terrorist take out the airport’s electrical system, which means that the airport is not able to put up it’s landing lights. This means that the planes can’t land and they may run out of fuel. So John McClane have to stop the terrorist and save the planes.
Die Hard 2: Die Harder is not as great as the first movie, but it still has some good stuff in it. Bruce Willis is still great as John McClane with his one liners and having to do whatever he has to to save the day. The action is great and intense. The one liners are clever and funny. The story is okay with it being the same story as the first one, but the twist of holding the planes hostage is intense with not knowing when the planes are going to drop. The weaknesses of the film is that some of the side characters are annoying or not important to the story, the film slows down at some points, the cutaways to Holly on the plane are pointless, and the twist is obvious. Die Hard 2: Die Harder gets 7.5/10 stars.
