The Greatest Showman is the true story about P.T. Barnum (played by Hugh Jackman) who went from rags to riches marries his childhood sweetheart Charity (played by Michelle Williams) and have two kids together. P.T. gets a job as a number cruncher, but is laid off because the business went bankrupt. P.T. then has the idea to open a museum to show the weird and unusual, but nobody shows up. So P.T. sees that he needs to recruit unique people that will intrigue people and make him rich. He finds: Tom Thumb (played by Sam Humphrey) a midget, The beard lady (played by Keala Settle), Annie and W.D. Wheeler (played by Zendaya and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) black acrobats, and many others. These acts are viewed as replosing even though people are coming to see them, but protesters start to stand out their theatre. So P.T. goes to Phillip Carlyle (played by Zac Effron) a rich playwright who has the connects to bring P.T’s acts to the rich people of the city and they become partners. This leads to the group being invited to England by the Queen and there P.T. meets Jenny Lind (played by Rebecca Ferguson) a famous opera singer that P.T believe could be a legit act for him. So P.T. takes Jenny on tour and leaves Phillip in charge of the Circus.Over time, Philip and Annie start to fall in love with each other even though it’s socially unacceptable. Things start to fall apart between all the characters and protesters burn down the theatre. So P.T. has to find a way to bring everyone and resolve the damage he did to the group.

The Greatest Showman is a fantastic tale of family, friendship, love, and being yourself.

The music and dancing is great and moves the story along. The acting is trembois especially Keala Settle as the Beard Lady, who shows the progression of being afraid to being confident over the period of the film. The themes of being yourself even though everyone judges you is nicely presented and shows how the characters in the circus had gained confidence from the experience. The make-up and design of the characters are cool to see. The weakness of the film is that the story is predictable and The CGI (Computer Generated Images) look bad. The Greatest Showman gets 8.5/10 stars.
