Melissa McCarthy goes back to college in Life of the Party.

Life of the Party is about Deanna (played by Melissa McCarthy) a middle-aged mother that, after being divorced by her husband, decides to join her daughter Helen (played by Gillian Jacobs) at college to finish her degree she gave up when she was pregnant with Helen. So Deanna has to deal with her divorce, daughter, and college.

Life of the Party is a humorous film. Melissa McCarthy is hilarious and brings a relatable charm to the character of Deanna. The story is familiar and leads to some funny situations. The other actors have some great comic moments and add to the overall feel of the film. The weakness of the film is that there are tons of cliche that has been seen in many other films. Life of the Party gets 8/10 stars.
