On the night of April 20th, Slinger High School’s two highest bands will perform in their annual spring concert. This will be Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble’s final separate performances of the school year, as they will later perform as a combined band for graduation. The concert this Wednesday will feature many popular tunes, which are listed below.
Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble recently travelled to a UW-Milwaukee music festival. Each band played two of their pieces for highly-qualified composers and directors. After this performance, the two bands received a clinic session from one of these musicians. Slinger’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble have perfected their pieces and are very excited to perform these tunes for family, friends, and the Slinger community on Wednesday night.
Symphonic Band has prepared four memorable and popular tunes:
The Incredibles
Gypsy Dance
How To Train Your Dragon
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
The Wind Ensemble has also prepared four well-known and challenging pieces:
Sweeney Todd
Superman
Bright Lights
Interstellar
Come out and support Slinger’s bands this Wednesday night at 7:30!
