Wonder is the movie adaptation of the book with the same name. Wonder is about Auggie (played by Jacob Tremblay) a kid with facial differences who is going into the fifth grade, but has been homeschool before then by his mother (played by Julia Roberts). As school goes on, Auggie has to to deal with the kids looking at him and some students making fun of him, but he makes friends with Jack Will (played by Noah Jupe) and a girl named Summer (played by Millie Davis). The film also follows Auggie’s sister, Via (played by Izabela Vidovic) who is trying to find her place in high school and has to deal with losing touch with her friend Miranda (played by Danielle Rose Russell) who use to be great friends with Via and her family, but now has been dealing with her parents’ divorce.
Wonder is a heartwarming tale that has a lot of heart and a lot of humor. The acting is great, for the actors have great chemistry with each other and feel like they are a real family. The story is fantastic and doesn’t stray from the book. The emotional moments are heartfelt and the humor is terrific. The characters are humorous and reliable with the issues that they have to deal. Wonder gets 10/10 stars.
