The playoffs for the NHL started on Wednesday, April 10 with five games kicking off! The three other games followed on Thursday. In the Eastern conference, the Calgary Flames are facing the Colorado Avalanche, the San Jose Sharks are facing the Vegas Golden Knights, the Nashville Predators are facing the Dallas Stars, and the Winnipeg Jets are facing the St. Louis Blues. In the Western conference, the Tampa Bay Lightning are playing against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Boston Bruins are facing the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Washington Capitals are facing the Carolina Hurricanes, and the New York Islanders are playing the Pittsburgh Penguins. The NHL playoffs are best out of seven games and then they go on to the next round. As of Saturday, the Sharks-Knights, Bruins-Maple Leafs, Flames-Avalanche, and the Stars-Predators are tied 1-1. The Blues are leading the Jets 2-0, so are the Blue Jackets against the Lightning, another team is Capitals against the Hurricanes, and finally the Islanders are winning against the Penguins. The Tampa Bay Lightning are predicted to win the Stanley Cup after their killer season, but at this rate it’s not likely.
