This year, Slinger’s bowling team achieved something tremendous: they’ve become an official lettering sport at the school. This means individuals on the team can letter in bowling, and will be rewarded for the hard work of skilled individuals. Just three short years ago, the bowling team was only a Co-Ed Junior Varsity team. Last year, girls and boys varsity teams were added, and this year, a Boys Varsity team was created. Coaches are hoping that a Girls Junior Varsity team will be added in the upcoming season.

Two individuals qualified for Regionals at Circle B: Jonah Nighbor and Lindsey Rozek. Both were 13 pins short from advancing to sectionals.

Girls Sectionals were held at Harbor Hill in Port Washington. They bowled 12 games and advanced to the top 4. They missed going to State by only 30 pins.

Boys Sectionals were held at King Pin Lanes in West Bend. They bowled 15 games and advanced to the top 6. They came up short and were barred from advancing to further rounds. However, this was their first time making the cut, so congratulations to them!

On February 15th, the Bowling Team ended their season by inviting incoming freshman, 7th graders, and 6th graders to the last practice.

The Award Banquet will be held on Wednesday, March 8th.
