Girls track team off to a great start

The track meet on Thursday, April 7th, was a great kick-off for girls’ track. This first meet showed many promising achievements for Slinger in both the preliminaries and the finals in multiple events. Excelling in the first meet were the 4x800 relay, 55 meter hurdles, 55 meter dash, and shot put. These events showed great promise for future meets. The Slinger 4x800 relay team of Paige Fassbender, Hannah Strachan, Kendra Strohwig, and Makaila Groves received 1st place. Also, Julia Hagen received 1st in both the preliminaries and finals for 55 meter hurdles. Ally Johnson and Sydney Reinhardt placed 3rd and 4th place in long jump. Congratulations to all the hardworking individuals who make Slinger track what it is today and who put in a great deal of effort to their track team!
