Slinger soccer ties Watertown 1-1

On Tuesday night, the Slinger boys’ varsity soccer team tied Watertown 1-1; the Owls still remain undefeated in the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference. Throughout the first half, the match was fairly equal, as the play from both the Owls and the Goslings was strong. The Slinger defense played exceptionally. However, when during the second half, the Owls began to have many more chances at goal. Senior Jordan DeLaurier even had a header right over the crossbar. Later in the half, DeLaurier was able to beat a few Watertown defenders and score, putting the Owls ahead 1-0. Unfortunately, the Goslings tied the match with 5 minutes left. Come support the Owls next Tuesday as they take on Oconomowoc!
